100 MILE - SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23
Join Lexus Cycling Ambassador George Hincapie on the ultra-challenging 100-mile ride in beautiful Cape Cod. Starting from Lexus Hotel Partner Chatham Bars Inn, the route heads north through the Cape Cod National Seashore. Along the route to Provincetown you’ll ride next to White Crest Beach and by historic Highland Light. After looping through “P-town” the route takes you past Pilgrim Monument and back south along the Harbor. While the route is far from hilly, the small rollers do add up over the miles, leaving participants with over 3500 feet in cumulative climbing.
Please note: This route is for experienced cyclists and not suitable for a beginner 100-mile rider.SEE THE ROUTE
50-MILE - SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23
Enjoy the scenery and picturesque towns on the 50-mile “Explore the Cape” route with Lexus Cycling Ambassador Christian Vande Velde. The 50-mile route is identical to the 30-mile route until the town of Orleans, when the routes diverge, with the 50-mile ride heading north a bit more to a beachfront turnaround and then ending with a casual ride back along the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Both routes are suitable for all ability levels and bikes.SEE THE ROUTE
30-MILE - SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23
Just think of the 30-mile ride as a concentrated version of the 100-mile route – same gorgeous Cape Cod scenery, same postcard towns and same relaxing miles on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. These routes are perfect for the beginner or intermediate rider or for those who want to have a slightly more relaxing day. A slightly later start time means a bit more sleep before your day’s activities. This route twists north from Chatham, at times directly skirting the coast, then passes through the heart of Orleans to meet up with the Cape Cod Rail Trail, then weaves back to Chatham.SEE THE ROUTE
