Come cheer on the Lexus Gran Fondo cyclists as they cross the finish line and enjoy a festive barbeque by Lexus Culinary Master Dean Fearing and Chatham Bars Inn Chef Andrew Chadwick. Named Restaurant of the Year by Esquire and nominated for a James Beard Award, Dean Fearing’s Dallas-based restaurant, Fearings, brings a little taste of the South to the Cape. Enjoy the best of barbeque with the latest Saison offerings from the brewery at Lexus Hotel Partner Blackberry Farm. Live music and wine will also be flowing. “Today’s Tastemakers, Tomorrow’s Legends” Celebration Dinner

Along with the Lexus Gran Fondo finishers, we will be celebrating a new generation of culinary talent featuring food and wine personalities under 40 years old. Only 28 when he earned his master sommelier diploma, Lexus Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy joined an elite group of wine professionals who have achieved the highest distinction afforded in the wine industry. He will be paring and presenting wines from Napa Valley winery Mayacamas Vineyards.

Creating the menu that will complement the various wines are Lexus Culinary Master Carlo Mirarchi and Chatham Bars Inn Chef Justin Urso. Mirarchi, co-owner and chef of New York hot spot Roberta’s and two-Michelin-Star Blanca, was named Best New Chef by Travel and Leisure, included in Crain’s New York Business 40 under 40 list and described as a “brilliant chef” by the director of the Michelin restaurant guide. The menu will also feature Chatham Bars Inn Chef Justin Urso who comes from renowned restaurants such as L’Espalier, Sel de la Terre, Maze and del Posto.

Lexus Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy will be at the helm of the champagne and sparkling wine bar where he will be showcasing a few of his favorite bottles for brunch beverages. We invite you to mix and mingle with him while he demonstrates which juice mixers pair best with different sparklers and how you can learn how to craft your own perfect concoction.

Farmstead Lunch and Preserving Class

Make your way to the Chatham Bars Inn Farm, either by bike or Lexus courtesy transportation from the hotel, for an al fresco-wine paired lunch under a canopy of trees. Your leisurely afternoon on the Farm will continue with a tour of the two greenhouses and an exclusive experience preserving your own local berries. Lunch will start at 1:00 p.m. and preserving class will begin at 2:30 p.m. Please note the preserving class is limited to 20 guests and tickets are sold separately.

Clambake and Beach Party

The weekend will culminate by the shore with a surf-and-turf clambake and beach party. Reserve your seat for this unique dining experience on the sand featuring Chatham Bars Inn chefs Anthony Cole and Justin Urso. Local catch of the day will include freshly shucked oysters, Littleneck Clams, poached shrimp, a whole Chatham lobster, mussels and steamers. Fresh vegetables from the Chatham Bars Inn Farm, steaks, chicken and other specialties will be on the grill. A mixologist and sommelier will be crafting cocktails and pairing wines to complement the menu throughout the evening.
