Lexus Gran Fondo attendees are invited to celebrate the weekend with an exclusive dining experience. The hardy dinner will be inspired by the flavors of fresh fall harvest and the warm colors of the season.

Lexus Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy who is part of an elite group of wine professionals will be pairing and presenting wines from Napa Valley winery Mayacamas Vineyards. Creating the menu that will complement the various wines is Lexus Hotel Partner Executive Chef Anthony Cole, of Chatham Bars Inn.

Bubbles and Bites Farm Excursion: Farm Tour or Preserving Class

Make your way to the Chatham Bars Inn Farm, either by bike or Lexus courtesy transportation from the hotel, for a bubbles and bites experience under a canopy of trees. You will have the choice to enjoy your afternoon either touring the farm grounds with the local farmer or participating in an exclusive experience preserving your own local berries. The tour will explore the 8-acre farm grounds and two greenhouses that produce the freshest seasonal greens and vegetables that drive Chatham Bars Inn’s culinary creativity through all their restaurants. Prefer to get your hands dirty and experience life as a farmer? Choose the preserving class where you will be able to can your own fresh berries to take home. Oyster Discovery Tour

Want an authentic Cape Cod experience while attending the Lexus Gran Fondo? Sign up for this once in a lifetime opportunity to tour a working oyster farm!

The tour starts at the Chatham Bars Inn Pier where you board the “Bar Tender” and enjoy a short boat ride through the newly formed cut in the famous ‘Chatham Bars’ to the Chatham Shellfish wholesale facility on Oyster River. At the facility, you will meet oyster farmer, Steve Wright, who will explain the wholesale process (Farm to Chef). As you venture along their docks he will provide a brief look at how they begin seeding “baby” oysters at 1.5mm and grow them to maturity.

From there you are transported further up scenic Oyster River to their farm. You will have the ability to see the various steps, equipment and methods of how they grow oysters from seed to final market product, where it finally meets your lips

Concluding the tour of the cultivation process and visiting the site, we dock up and enter an exclusive raw bar shanty freshest chilled Chatham Oysters and Littlenecks you could possibly imagine.

The weekend will culminate by the shore with a surf-and-turf clambake beach party. Reserve your seat for this unique dining experience on the sand, featuring Chatham Bars Inn chef Anthony Cole. Local catch of the day will include freshly shucked oysters, littleneck clams, poached shrimp, a whole Chatham lobster, mussels and steamers. Fresh vegetables from the Chatham Bars Inn Farm, steaks, chicken and other specialties will be on the grill. A mixologist and sommelier will be crafting cocktails and pairing wines to complement the menu throughout the evening.
